POSITION SUMMARY
DEPLOY/US seeks an experienced, talented, motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior Accountant will be processing much of the organization’s day-to-day financial operations. This includes accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card expense management, payroll, and general ledger. The role ensures compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and supports accurate and timely financial reporting. The Senior Accountant also plays a key role in budget development, grant tracking, and audit preparation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and process all daily/weekly accounting operations, including accounts payable, credit card expense processing, posting revenue, and accounts receivable.
Support processing of general ledger activity and ensure accurate month-end close processes, including adjusting journal entries, posting payroll, and preparing bank reconciliations.
Assist with preparing the annual budget, including forecasting reports.
Support grant-related financial activities, including tracking restricted funds, collecting grant documents, processing grant payments, and preparing reports.
Support all annual audit needs. Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation.
Support the onboarding of new employees related to payroll and financial procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least three to five years of accounting and finance experience, ideally in a nonprofit organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Expert knowledge of QuickBooks Online
High proficiency in Google Suite as well as Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to track and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and timeliness.
Ability to successfully work as part of a remote, mission-driven, bipartisan team.
Versatility and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States at the date of hire.

Some occasional travel will be required.
COMPENSATION
This is a full-time, salaried, remote position with a base compensation range of $80,000 - $95,000. DEPLOY/US offers a very competitive total compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K match, generous PTO allowance, and more.
